Rates: Choosing the Right Plan for You

null

You have the right to know exactly what's going on with your utility and rates, especially when rates are changing. We are keeping rate increases as reasonable as possible, and we're not asking you to do anything we're not willing to do ourselves. At SCE, we're implementing company-wide efficiency programs over the next two years to reduce our operational and maintenance expenses.

Did you know that SCE offers a variety of Residential Rate Plans? For many customers, our Residential Plan (Rate Schedule D)—which has 3-tier pricing—is the most cost-effective. Each month, your household’s energy consumption starts in Tier 1, where the cost of electricity is the lowest. Keep energy use to the lower tiers and pay less on your bill! To find your plan, check the “Details of Your New Charges” section on page 3 of your bill.

Help Available to Households

We're doing everything we can to get the word out about programs to help households that are having trouble paying electric bills. Discounted rates are available to income-qualified households, and free energy-efficiency upgrades may be available, too. And, you may qualify for one-time assistance through our Energy Assistance Fund.

If you just need more time to pay your bill, we can make a special payment arrangement with you.

  • Medium-sized business customers (above 20 and up to 500kW)
  • Large businesses and industrial customers (above 500kW)
