CAISO Declares Flex Alert
The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) has declared a Flex Alert for Friday, September 9, 2022. You can help by reducing your electricity use during the peak hours of 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. EV owners are encouraged to charge during off-peak hours before 4 p.m. and after 9 p.m. in support of this week's CAISO Flex Alert.
Possible CAISO Rotating Outages
The state's power reserves are at critically low levels and the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) has issued an Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) 3 Notice for possible rotating outages effective Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. These typically last about an hour. We're managing these outages carefully to protect the overall integrity of the region's electric system.
Earlier today, SCE notified their customers in rotating outage areas A063 to A073 that they are within an area that may experience a rotating outage.
CAISO Urgent Call for Energy Conservation
The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) has issued an Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) 2 warning notice effective from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Demand for electricity is extraordinarily high right now. Please reduce your electricity usage immediately.
